Coastal Magic wants you to arrive to Daytona for #CMCon24 feeling like you already know a little about each of our Featured Authors. Part of the way we do this is a series of virtual, panel-style #CMCChats that happen monthly in the summer and fall.
Here’s our full topic schedule (participating authors will be announced on social media shortly before each chat).

All of our CMCChats will be live broadcasts of Zoom chats, at 8pm ET on their respective dates, shown in our Coastal Magic Convention Authors & Attendees Facebook group. After the live is over, the chat will be uploaded to our YouTube channel for anyone who would rather not be on Facebook for an hour. 🙂

Some benefits of watching the chat live are the opportunity to chat with other readers in the comments section, and the option to post questions for our moderators to ask the panelists on your behalf (they’ll totally shout you out!!)

July 13 – “Embrace Your Geekness” Day
Discussion about our authors interests, hobbies, and passions – no matter how nerdy
they may seem. Also — what do their characters “geek out” over?
Aug 17 – “Romance Awareness Month”
Romance authors discuss their own “sweetest moments”, along
with their favorite romantic elements and gestures in their books and elsewhere.
Sept 14 – “Oddfellows Friendship Month”: Author Besties Chat Part 1
The Oddfellows have been celebrating friendship “officially” since the 1700s!!!
Our authors invite their longtime writer BFFs to chat about their own friendship,
and those of the characters in their books.
Oct 5 – “All About Spirits!”
Today is “Canadian Beer Day” and “National Vodka Day”, so our authors
will be chatting about ghosty spirits AND the drinkable kind, too!!
Fun chat about spooky holiday stories and festive drinks.
Nov 2 – “National Authors’ Day”: Author Besties Chat Part 2
November is NaNoWriMo month. Our authors invite their writing/critique partner
besties to chat about their writing processes and their working friendships.
Dec 14 – “Ugly Christmas Sweater Day”
Our authors discuss their favorite holiday stories (from this year
or previous years), and their own contributions to the season’s TBR piles.
Oh, and definitely celebrating the “ugly Christmas Sweater” tradition. 🙂
Jan 25 – “National Florida Day”: Author Besties Chat Part 3
Florida is 179 years old today! This fun chat features Florida Authors and their local
author besties. We’ll find out about their own fun in the sun, and the
Sunshine State locations in their books.
Feb 8 – “National Periodic Table Day”
Science Fiction authors chat about the actual “science” in their “fiction”
to help celebrate this building block of the scientific world.
