Just wanted to pop in and share a few quick things. Registration has been extended to January 13th. If you’ve been “on the fence” about attending, your time is running out. Please don’t miss your chance to hang out with our awesome lineup of authors. We’re going to have a blast, and I’d love to see you there.
If you ARE planning to join us… please be sure to make your hotel arrangements, ASAP. The last day to make your reservation at the discounted rates is January 7th!! Thursday night at the Hilton is sold out (sorry!!), but the Hampton a few blocks away is acting as overflow, and is honoring the group rates. Friday and Saturday nights are still available at the Hilton. (Sunday, too, if you’re staying for a extra days in the sunshine!) I’m also checking on suites (perfect for sharing), as last I heard, there were still some available for all three nights.
This is also last call for vendor spots for the weekend. If you have a service or product you think our urban fantasy and paranormal romance readers would enjoy, please email me with details. (CoastalMagicConvention at gmail dot com) Those of you who are already listed as vendors, you’ll be getting an email from me in the next couple of days to finalize things. 🙂
Ok… I think that’s it for this quickie update. I hope you all have a fantastic holiday. I’ll be spending my Christmas with family, enjoying the Florida sunshine, and making lots of fun memories. I hope you all spend your time doing whatever it is that makes you most happy.
See you in February!!!
Merry Christmas and happy holidays, my lovely reader friends!! Now that Thanksgiving has passed (and while we’re all trying to fit back into our clothes after yesterday’s dinner) it’s time to start passing out presents!!! Ok, maybe not ALL the presents, but how about some virtual “Secret Santa” presents to our favorite characters in the urban fantasy and paranormal romance world, and some very real convention registrations for two of YOU!!
That’s right. One blog hop commenter will win free registration to the 2014 Coastal Magic Convention in Daytona Beach, Florida, in February. A second winner will win registration to the 2015 event!! This is a weekend full of fun panels, meet & greets and face time with some of your favorite authors in the UF/PNR genre. Over 50 authors will be featured, and you’ll be surrounded by fellow book lovers.
A few of the participating blog hosts are Featured Bloggers for the Coastal Magic Convention, and a few are Featured Authors. Be sure to ask them questions or leave them comments about the con if you’re curious about it, or if you’re planning to attend. They’ll be thrilled to hear from you!! To find a list of confirmed Featured Authors and other information about Coastal Magic, be sure to check out the website.
In addition to the two overall, grand prize winners… some of the blogs will be featuring individual prizes, so keep an eye out for those as you’re checking out the other stops on the hop!!
Here’s how to enter:
1 – The ENTIRE urban fantasy and paranormal romance world is yours to choose from. Imagine every name in a giant Santa hat… whose name do YOU pick?? List that person’s name, what book they’re from, and what gift you would give them in the comments section of this blog.
2 – Click on the Rafflecopter link and complete the entry tasks you’d like to participate in. The ONLY mandatory entry is your “secret santa” comment, but there are a few other ways to get extra entries. (just a few, I promise 🙂 )
3 – Visit other blogs on the list between today and December 6th to play again!
So… easy peasy, right?!? I’m excited to see who each of you chooses!!!
GOOD LUCK, everyone!! Let the season of giving begin!!

Hello, my lovelies!!!
First… if you’re planning to attend Coastal Magic, but haven’t registered yet… GET THEE TO THE REGISTRATION PAGE!!!! Registration is only open until December 31st, and only 225 attendees will be accepted (including Featured and Registered bloggers). Please don’t miss your chance to join our awesome group of authors and fellow readers in February.
Second… I’m sorry to announce that Erin Quinn won’t be able to join us next year, afterall. I think we’re all happy that she’d decided to dedicate her time to her words, but we’ll miss her in Daytona next year. I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed that we get her back in 2015. If you’ve registered, and chosen either breakfast or lasertag with Erin, I’ll be deleting those options, and you’ll need to choose again.
Third… I’m crazy behind in getting our promo links pages updated. Please be sure to follow each of our Featured and Registered bloggers on their blogs, Facebooks, and Twitters for a wide variety of reviews, interviews and guest posts from our Featured Authors. They’ve put together some really fantastic pieces, and I’ll be getting the media pages updated as soon as I can. Until then… SURF… EXPLORE… ENJOY!!!
Fourth… to our Featured Authors… THANK YOU for participating in the promotional posts!!! We, as fans, love to see the awesome offerings you come up with, and we’re so excited to hear more from you. Also, for those of you who are sharing Coastal Magic information on your websites, newsletters, and in social media… THANK YOU!!!
Fifth… If you’ve emailed me in the last 3-4 weeks, I apologize if I haven’t gotten back to you yet. I’ve been unusually busy, and my inbox is now an ugly, scary, place with teeth and possibly a ray-gun. I am trying to make my way through it, and I’m hoping to have an actual day off without a bajillion other things to do very soon. I really, really appreciate everyone’s patience until I get to the end of my insanely overpacked string of weeks. (Thank GOODNESS it’s coming to an end very soon!!! Whoever planned my schedule the last few weeks needs their head exa… ummm… oh… yeah… :-/… lol.)
Alrighty, everyone. I think that’s it for now. Featured Authors… I’ll be working on an update email for all of you in the next week or so. Readers… GET REGISTERED!!! Let’s show these authors how much we appreciate them making themselves available to come hang out with us for a bit.
I’ll be in touch again in a few weeks!! Hope you’re all having a fantastic end of your summer!!
